In memory and recognition of those affected by polio who have died, especially the fourteen members of the Association since 2020. This number is open-ended, as many people are without family and due to problems with the Post Office, we are unable to locate other members.

The circumstance is that there is a significant number of cancers among those affected. The last member who died in May, according to her husband, died of breast cancer.

We remind polio survivors that it is important to prevent this and, when they go to the doctor, inform them that we receive numerous X-rays, among other medical procedures, during childhood and throughout our lives.

With our feet on the ground, without hiding our heads in the sand, the fight continues.
